Singleton Council is pleased to announce it’s participation in the Plastic Police® Program. This exciting local initiative is engaging local communities to tackle the issues associated with soft plastic packaging waste, generated by households and businesses.
The majority of soft plastic waste material currently ends up in landfill or presents as litter, impacting our local communities and environment.
Singleton Council will be participating in the regional pilot program as an aggregation point for soft plastics. Come along to the launch and find out how you can be involved in the program. There will be presentations, static displays, an opportunity to sit on a bench made out of 100% soft plastics collected by a local Hunter Region community, and light refreshments.
